made an extraordinary contribution to our society. On 10 October 2010, the world bid farewell
to a truly inspirational Australian, opera luminary Dame Joan Sutherland. Hailed La Stupenda
by a Venetian audience after a 1960 performance of Handel’s Alcina, Dame Joan effortlessly
reigned over many international stages during her 40 year career. She was the recipient of
countless awards, including 1961 Australian of the Year, before performing her swansong on
31 December 1990 at age 64

This $1 coin features a powerful image of Dame Joan Sutherland, which captures the radiance
and energy she is fondly remembered for.

It contained 21 questions and revealed a population of 4 455 005 people. Many of these questions are still used today.

The Census of 1947 played an important role directing post–WWII Australia in the areas of migration and infrastructure, and from 1971 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people were included in the official population enumeration.

The Census is important for determining where schools and hospitals are needed, allocating federal funding to states and territories, and planning community services and facilities. Continuing this fine tradition, the data from the 2011 Census will again be helping to chart the course of our nation’s future.

They have clear heat sealed pockets to cover your stamps completely for maximum protection.

The sheets themselves measure 215 x 280 mm and are 7 hole punched to fit most 3 or 4 ring binders.

There are 10 different pocket formats - you can choose from the one pocket per page right up to 8 strips (pockets) per page and there is also the PF4/T which is great for phonecards - I find them handy for the smaller stamp booklets. There's also the PF9 which can be used for postcards. Because the strips are welded on three sides it means that when you turn the page they don't fall out. Also, if you live in a humid area, because the backing is PVC it means that your stamps don't stick as they can do with the black cardboard style sheets - they just pop off.

The two pocket page is ideal for FDC's or PNC's and I find the one pocket great for sheets of stamps. Because they're the same size as the Prinz-System you can intermix them in your binder.

German quality at it's best

Please use the drop down menu to choose the format you're after

There are 5 pages per pack

The allied rock-wallaby is commonly seen in north-east Queensland, on nearby Palm Island and Magnetic Island.

It skilfully hops around rocky cliffs feeding on grasses, fruits, seeds and flowers. During Autumn, the wallaby sheds its dark brown fur revealing a lighter coat that provides camouflage against the grasses that sprout around its rocky home.

The allied rock-wallaby was originally thought to be more widespread, but since genetic testing was introduced, five more distinct wallaby species were discovered, and are only distinguishable by the size and shape of their chromosomes

The original design was modeled on a grand champion Merino from the annual Sydney Sheep show in 1932. This ram was considered to be unmatched in the position of its head and horns. Named Uardry 0.1 after its home station, it became known as the ‘Shilling Ram’ and represented Australia’s growing wool industry. The dignified Merino ram represents Australia’s reliance on primary industry through its economic history.

The great Sir Donald Bradman said, “Test Cricket is not a light-hearted business, especially that between England and Australia”. This enduring sporting rivalry, alive since 1882, the Ashes test series is the backbone of Australia’s cricket calendar and part of our national culture.

Played alternately in the summer months of each nation, the 2010-11 series returns once again to Australian shores. The first test will be played at the Gabba in Brisbane from 25-29 November 2010. This stunning example of cricket regalia, featuring a stitched motif designed to represent a cricket ball, is presented in large card format similar to previous Ashes coins. This memorable 20 cent coin is certain to be a proud addition to your collection

Wool production in Australia is one of the country’s oldest, most successful industries. For more than a century after the first commercial export to England in 1811, Australian wool remained central to the growth of our burgeoning economy.

The familiar phrase ‘Riding on the Sheep’s Back’ clearly summarises the social, economic and cultural significance of this industry to the development of modern Australia

. The $1 coin features a shearer hard at work against a textured background whilst the 20c coin depicts a wheel illustrated with a series of images representing Australia’s rich history of wool production.
