The design is inspired by the ancient Chinese Lunar Calendar, which assigns one of 12 animals to each year. The Chinese believe these animals have a profound effect on people born under their influence. Thus those born in the Year of the Snake are said to passionate, romantic, deep thinking and wise. Rather than seeking other peoples advice, they prefer their own judgement.
